The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and Two Circles, the world’s leading sports marketing agency dedicated to analyzing fan sports behavior data, today formalized the launch of a joint strategic venture: Courtside 1891.
This new joint venture, created for an initial period of 9 years, has spawned a new streaming and information platform dedicated to basketball “Courtside 1891”. The initiative aims to develop and promote consumer-facing (D2C) basketball content around the world, offering basketball fans around the world a new dedicated platform and personalized experience to follow and live their passion for international basketball.
Courtside 1891 will allow FIBA to develop direct and long-term relationships with basketball fans around the world; gain a deeper understanding of the behavior, attitudes and desires of sports fans in order to develop new products and pursue more appropriate and ambitious global strategies; and ensuring greater visibility and visibility of competitions organized by FIBA.
Two Circles brings a wealth of experience to the field as a recognized industry agency that helps major global sports venues such as the NFL, F1 and ATP Media use data analytics to maximize the commercial development of D2C streaming platforms.
As part of this ambitious partnership between FIBA and Two Circles, an international agency based in France since 2020 has invested heavily to be able to offer new innovative and efficient digital platforms capable of meeting the expectations of sports fans. – and build a team of dedicated professionals offering expertise spanning: product strategy, sales, marketing, and data management and analytics.
This partnership with FIBA is the second major venue joint venture for Two Circles following the launch of Tour Consumer Experiences in 2021: an 11-year joint venture with the European Tour and Ryder Cup Europe created to develop the ticketing offering and first-class hospitality at the largest professional golf competition in Europe.

The initial product launch of Courtside 1891 was a limited edition release for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 final qualifying window held in February across all FIBA regions.

Courtside 1891’s long-term vision is to create a truly personalized content stream for every fan and become the central platform for experiencing live basketball content available on all other platforms that offer basketball around the world.
