“I enjoyed leading my country, but recently I realized what it cost me and what an impact it had on me outside of the game.

“I am excited to continue to represent the Three Lions and deliver performances that will enable the team to succeed. I look forward to helping the next captain, my teammates and coaches in any way I can. »
