6 sports to blow off steam

The Switch Sport launch will be filled with several new features as well as timeless action. In game modes that we know all too well (and that continue to create tension in our circles of friends or even our families), we have bowling or tennis. And there are completely new sports, such as football, badminton and volleyball. Also note that other sports will follow after the game launches, so even if the catalog doesn’t seem very extensive compared to Wii Sports Resort at the moment, new sports like golf are expected.

This new edition of Nintendo Sport lets you test your skills in badminton, bowling, chambara, football, tennis and volleyball.

It is clear that the grip can be difficult at first, but after a few games, players will logically break in and be able to have fun with friends or online players in peace. However, it will be possible to take advantage of a small learning phase to allow some to brush up on their memory and others to remember (or discover) the basics.

Get fit with Switch Sports

Like the Wii, joy-cons will be able to understand your movements and allow your character to perform actions. For example, there are different types of defense for the chabara (formerly called the saber) and you will have to keep a close eye on your opponent to withstand as many blows as possible. Even if we are very far from sports practice, we will notice that these little levers will get us moving so that we can blow off some steam.

Football is currently the sport that remains most true to what we know, because to shoot we will have to use our feet (even if we move with a second controller in hand) and the most passionate players will want to make their part more authentic. than ever. On the other hand, please note that Switch Sport is aimed primarily at the general public, because even children will be able to enjoy badminton success.

Alone or with others, everything is possible

Nintendo Switch Sport can be seen as a great way to have a good time with our loved ones, but single players can also be happy with the online mode to find opponents in the world. However, even if you are solo, but do not want to face opponents, you can still play against computers.

Each player will be able to create a character in their stuffed animal to superimpose it on the screen; eyes, eyebrows, haircut, age characteristics… Everyone can make their own Mii look.

For example, when you go to play locally with four players, everything is done in real time and on the same screen. On the other hand, you will need at least two pairs of joy-cons so that you can enjoy all the action together. For football, for example, you’ll need a pair of joy-cons for each player, so if you don’t have enough controllers, you’ll have to go to a video console vendor to get them and invite your friends over.

Perspective

While waiting for our test, we can nevertheless form a small opinion about the game. All activities are very relevant and even if there is a rework, bowling in particular, some sports are fun and interesting for all ages. Football leaves us a bit hungry and the gameplay feels slow or cut down due to the computers on our team. However, penalty shootouts have their own charm that can create tension during multiplayer games!

Nintendo Switch Sports, on the other hand, will be a great game for the whole family, an occasion to get together and thus share several sports video games. The game is perfect for playing with our loved ones and this is a great point to consider.
